How to Prepare
While the exam is open to all candidates without required training or coursework, our specialized preparation gives you the knowledge and confidence to excel.
Exam Details
Field exam: Hands-on field portion. Can be completed remotely.
Exam fee: $450
Time limit: 1 ½ hours
Passing score: 85% or higher
Processing time for exam results: 2-4 weeks
Recertification
- Accumulate a minimum of 1000 hours (over the course of 3 years) of experience related to the IDL certification. This includes diagnostic measurements, infiltration and duct leak testing, interpretation of testing results, oversight, and QA/ OR;
- Successfully challenge the IDL field exam that is current at the time of renewal
