Lesson 1: Course Introduction & PDF Download

Welcome to Mayfield Renewables’ course on the UL 3741 Product Compliance and Design Requirements!
This first lesson sets the scope of the course with learning objectives. Ryan Mayfield also discusses the relevant National Electrical Code (NEC) section associated with this UL listing: NEC 690.12.

Lesson 2: UL 3741 Hazards and PV Hazard Control

To understand when and why to use UL 3741-listed PV equipment, Ryan explains the scope of the UL listing and equipment (or system) testing processes. Lesson 2 also highlights a few key resources provided by the UL testing: Figure 1, Figure 2, and Table 8.

Lesson 3: UL 3741 Solutions

In Lesson 3, the class progresses to installing UL 3741-listed solutions. Ryan discusses a few standard system layouts involving UL 3741-listed equipment and best practices to comply with NEC 690.12 and UL 3741 PV Hazard Control System requirements.

During your year of access the instructor will be in the course answering questions on the discussion board. After successfully completing the course, you will be able to generate a certificate of completion.
How long do I have access to the materials?
