About this course

This course covers how to precisely calculate the dollar savings (aka avoided cost) of a solar project. We will review the difference between 'average blended cost' and 'average blended savings' and run through some real world modeling examples. Enrollment includes a tutorial lecture, slides and a quiz.

Energy Toolbase allows users to accurately, objectively and transparently calculate the avoided cost of solar and energy storage projects. The software can also be used to optimize a project for $/kWh blended savings.
