58 Hours NABCEP Solar PV Training - Entry Level Exam + 40 Hours Advanced

This training fulfills all of the training requirements you will need to sit for the NABCEP Solar PV Installer Exam, 58 hours of training. 18 hours of basic training and 40 hours of advanced training. Increasingly, individuals have all the in the field experience they need to sit for the NABCEP, but they need to jump through the hoops of getting the training hours needs. This course is a combination of our NABCEP Entry Level Exam training and our 40 Hours of Advanced Training. By purchasing the training together, you will save $400 versus purchasing the two trainings separately.

Agenda

NABCEP Entry Level Exam - Solar Installer Boot Camp 18 Hours of Basic Training Hours

For this section of the course, you will complete our Solar Installer Boot Camp + NABCEP Entry Level Exam. This section of the course is a 6 week online course. You'll learn how to design a solar project form A to Z, learn solar code, understand how to design and BID on projects, estimate power production, and sell projects. The price of this course will include 1) The textbook and 2) the NABCEP Entry Level testing fees.

40 Hours of Advanced Solar Training -

For the second section of the course, you will complete our 40 hour of advanced solar training. The 40 hour advanced training is comprised of 6 modules, you will go over 1) A quick review of PV Design and Installation Fundamentals 2) Advanced PV Designs and Code Class 3) Commissioning 4) Battery-Based Systems 5) Megawatt installations and designs 6) NABCEP Prep.

Meet The Instructor

Ken Thames and Fred Paris

This course has two instructors. 1. Fred Paris has been teaching NABCEP students since 2008. At Massasoit College Fred introduced the PV course, wrote the curriculum, and taught the first PV classes. As a Solar practitioner, Fred’s PV projects include high school, residential, commercial, and church projects. Systems include: roof-mount, ground-mount and pole-mounted PV systems - with and without equinox adjustment. As invited faculty, Fred supports Northeastern University - teaching the final Strategic Planning module for graduating MBA students. Fred holds AAS, BS, and MBA degrees, and he is still paying off his student loans.2. Ken Thames is a master electrician, NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer, ISPQ Certified Master Trainer and founder of Thames Electric Co, in Denver, Colorado. Ken has installed more than 500 solar pv systems since 1994. He has deep expertise in battery-backed systems, project management experience on megawatt-scale projects, and teaches courses on the NEC for inspectors.
