About this course

While the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) has been around since 2002, it received a major boost with the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act that quadruples funding over the next ten years. Farmers and small businesses located in rural areas are eligible to apply for the grant which could cover up to 50% of a project's costs, in addition to the 30% federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC). That's a major incentive for rural customers to add solar to their operations.

The team at Solar United Neighbors (SUN) has produced this introductory course to explain the program, eligibility requirements, application information, and tips to make your eligible customer's application successful.

I really appreciate the level of detail the Solar United Neighbors team used to explain the basics of the REAP grant. It's an excellent resource for rural small businesses, farmers, and the solar companies that serve them.
