About this course

This course walks you through everything you need to land an entry-level job in solar, electrical, or another clean energy trade. You'll learn how to build a strong, one-page resume that highlights your transferable skills and gets past applicant tracking systems, even if you're just starting out with no direct industry experience.

From there, we cover the full job search process: understanding the current market and why demand for solar installers and electricians is growing so fast, where to find real openings (job boards, company career pages, and the "hidden jobs" many small companies never post publicly), and how to use LinkedIn to network with people already working in the field. You'll also learn about union apprenticeships like the IBEW, along with other paid training pathways through state workforce programs, community colleges, and company-run apprenticeships.

Finally, we cover what happens after you hit submit: following up with employers, preparing for interviews, cleaning up your online presence, and avoiding the scams that target job seekers online. By the end, you'll have a polished resume, a clear job search strategy, and the confidence to apply for real roles in clean energy.
