About this course

Along with our in-person training, these modules form the basis of our Disaster Leadership Training. Learners will be taught our core disaster volunteer program with added layers of metacognition to get them thinking about how they would lead other volunteers in future disasters.

  • Implement safety techniques in all situations
  • Identify and correctly use documentation in different scenarios
  • Correctly set up a basic solar generator with solar panels

Welcome - Orientation

This is a free course! This first module introduces you to Footprint Project and lays out the sequence of the Disaster Leadership Training program. This material must be completed before the in-person training as we will build upon it. 

The full training program consists of:

  2. An in-person training
  3. A final virtual session (1 hour) that brings it all together.

We are going into tough situations. We are also dealing with equipment that can, when not used properly, be dangerous. Safety is of utmost importance.
