About this course

The moment construction wraps is when the real commercial pressure starts. Commissioning carries more schedule risk than any other project phase, and the quality of the handover determines how well the plant performs for the next 25 years. This bundle covers both sides of that transition.

Basics of Commissioning on Utility-Scale Solar walks through the full commissioning process from the EPC's perspective: pre-commissioning checks, the energization sequence, performance testing and acceptance milestones, and the documentation and turnover requirements for a complete handover. Introduction to Utility-Scale Solar Operations & Maintenance covers what comes next - routine and preventive maintenance, performance monitoring, troubleshooting workflows, SCADA use in the field, and the O&M program structure that keeps a plant running efficiently over its operating life.

This bundle is a practical fit for commissioning managers, project engineers, O&M technicians, and anyone stepping into a role on the operations side of a utility-scale solar project.

Basics of Utility-Scale Solar PV

Every utility-scale solar project — no matter how large or complex — is built on a set of core principles that govern how sunlight is converted into electricity. In this module, Basics of Utility-Scale Solar PV, we'll establish the foundational knowledge you need to understand how photovoltaic technology works, from the physics of the photovoltaic effect to how individual cells, modules, and arrays are configured to produce power at scale. We'll also look at how solar resources are evaluated and how environmental factors like temperature, shading, and irradiance influence system output. Whether you're new to the solar industry or transitioning into the utility-scale space, this module provides the essential building blocks that will support everything you'll learn throughout the rest of the course.
