Students who enroll in this lecture will:

  • Be able to properly define battery capacity
  • Define amp-hours and watt-hours
  • Learn about the active elements of a battery and how they affect capacity
  • Learn how battery capacity is measured
  • Learn what discharge rates are, how they affect capacity, and how to convert one rate to another
  • Encounter the vagaries of the Peukert constant
