Seth Gunning

Seth started his career as a policy analyst and advocate. He worked for over a decade with regional non-profit organizations seeking to expand state renewable energy markets around the Southeast by establishing common-sense policy.

In 2015, Seth entered the solar energy industry himself by joining the Creative Solar USA team as an installation-technician. Committed to learning about both the technical trade and business of solar energy from the roof - down, Seth carried various capacities at Creative Solar USA including warehouse and procurement management, quality control, customer service, interconnection and permitting coordination, technical / business analyst, business development, and business management. He currently works in a business development role with Cherry Street Energy, Georgia’s largest non-utility provider of renewable power. He has played a role in well over 10 MW of customer-sited solar energy installations in Georgia.

Seth also holds two NABCEP Professional Certifications -PV Installation and Technical Sales Professional, and works with State Agencies, Municipalities, Institutions, and Corporate partners to transition to solar energy.

He also serves as the Board Chairperson of the Georgia Solar Energy Association, the State’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to education about solar energy and the expansion of the solar industry. Seth is interested in growing behind-the-meter distributed generation and is driven to increase equity and access to the big benefits of solar power.
