About

Riley brings expertise in management, communications, and solar installation. She has a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Allegheny College in western PA, and a certificate in Photovoltaic System Design & Installation from San Juan College in Farmington, NM. Riley has held varied posts that range from Electrical Apprentice to Farmer to Sustainability Coordinator, and the thread that she weaves through all of these roles is a passion for environment, justice, and community impact. That continues in her efforts to build training resources and opportunities for the Footprint Project that will help to broaden the network of volunteers and community leaders who can utilize clean energy when it is most needed. And, as a female in solar and in the trades, she hopes to help inspire more women and girls to get into solar through her efforts with Solar for Women, which she is creating to connect a network of women solar installers and to offer a place where women can be trained in solar PV installation. When she isn’t working, you might find her salsa dancing, hiking, cross-country skiing, or checking out the local hot springs in Colorado where she lives.
