About

As a Regulatory Policy Specialist, Catelyn supports the Regulatory team’s efforts to streamline the energization of distributed energy resources, particularly Electric Vehicle Service Equipment (EVSE) for large loads, focusing on medium- and heavy-duty EVs. Prior to joining the Regulatory team, Catelyn supported IREC’s Local Initiatives team as a Program Manager. As a Program Manager, Catelyn supported the Charging Smart Program, which provides local governments nationwide with no-cost technical assistance to help streamline their permitting and zoning policies for EVSE.

Catelyn holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Resilience and Sustainability from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University. She is dedicated to driving sustainable, equitable, and resilient solutions to complex energy issues. Currently based in Charlotte, NC, Catelyn enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
