Great course for you to take the first steps in a career in utility-scale solar project management!

I recently completed the Utility-Scale Solar PV & Interconnection course, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The instructor Tim Taylor of the Electric Distribution Academy, was exceptionally professional, demonstrating both deep technical expertise and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear, structured, and engaging way. His teaching style made the material not only accessible but also directly applicable to real-world scenarios in the renewable energy field. What stood out most were the illustrations and examples he used throughout the sessions—each one thoughtfully designed to highlight critical principles and bring clarity to otherwise challenging topics. These visuals made the lessons memorable and helped bridge theory with practice seamlessly. As someone active in the renewable energy industry, I found the course both relevant and inspiring. For anyone interested in pursuing a career or advancing their knowledge in utility-scale solar PV and interconnection, this course is an invaluable resource that I would strongly recommend.

Having been in the solar industry for 5 years, this is the first course that strikes a perfect balance between theory and practical application(s) of the course material. It covers almost everything required by a solar professional to understand the intricate working of the (electrical side of) solar /DER industry . Trust me, this course is beyond excellent and completing it will give you more than enough ammunition to understand the ins and out of the industry, even if you are NOT an electrical engineer (like me).

I signed up for this course to get an idea if utility scale solar was something that professionally interested me (I currently work in residential solar). This course gave me basic knowledge of the much larger process, as well as some industry specific career advice. I would recommend this course to any one in a similar boat.

I would highly recommend for the people jumping in solar to have a clear view of this industry and it will also help people to understand the roles of different people in solar.
