This course has opened my eyes to the advancements as well as the obstacles of Solar Energy and Energy Storage. The new avenues I can take to push the agenda of clean air and a healthy planet. Also, how we all need to encourage our communities and leaders to help steer the country in a direction of clean renewable energy.
Professor Scott sklar is very knowledgeable. It's obvious that he knows his stuff. For all beginners who are interested in learning about solar energy and want to understand state/Federal rules regarding Solar energy system, it is a great opportunity to start this free online class. The solar Power 101 consists of 4 modules and many resources that will help you learning a lots about solar.

This course covers a vast amount of information related to various renewable energy resource. I highly recommend it for anyone with a thirst for knowledge about the past and future growth of renewable energy!
Due to the nature of the industry, this course is a little outdated but still a nice overview of the solar industry and its relationship to overall energy picture.
It is very informative and really helpful for people who want to gain knowledge about PV systems. Sklar got all the bases covered.

Great overview that refreshes on some basic principles and educating on other not previously know areas.
Presenter / instructor was fabulous, in that his entire intent seemed to be to open your world up to renewable energy and the various sources of information, basically putting you in the driver's seat on acquiring more and more knowledge and just taking off. The assignments made you actually get into all these different information sources and group websites so you become appraised first-hand of all the information and sources of information available. This is a unique method of getting a student up to a much higher level of understanding, by connecting the student up to like-minded organizations and groups.
You're going to get your money's worth, especially with the extended access to the course materials.
