Definitely one of the best courses i have taken online. instructor makes it easy to understand by explaining every detail of the content. the course is done at your own pace, giving you time to take small braakes if needed, and able to have time throughout the day for daily life activities. Definitely recoment to take this course.

The course was well structured and comprehensive; it tackles energy storage systems from different angles: science, applications, and most importantly the codes the pertain to ESS.

Solar Sean White does it again - offering a comprehensive, fun, educating course about a critically important technology for the 21st century — energy storage systems aka batteries! Even for an energy veteran and PVIP-certified professional, this course offered a lot of new content and a fresh perspective of looking at it and preparing for another difficult certification exam. Sean keeps things light and fun as usual and is very responsive to student questions and comments on the discussion board. I recommend this course for folks that are preparing to take the NABCEP ESIP exam.

The information provided was much more in-depth than expected across more areas than I knew existed - I loved it! I will definitely be returning to this course several times over the next 12 months to stay current with my knowledge and any new material!

I learned more from this course than any other training I have done. Sean and Bill cleared up a lot of misconceptions I have learned over the years. What truly sets this course apart is the instructor, Sean White. His depth of knowledge is matched only by his passion for teaching. Sean has a remarkable ability to break down complex concepts and make them both accessible and engaging. His real-world insights, sense of humor, and clear explanations kept the material fresh and enjoyable from start to finish. I'd also like to shoutout the additional sections that include Bill Brooks who also adds so much to this course. This course paired with the recommended reference materials (Energy Storage Basics: Saad Youssefi & Sean White, The Battery-Powered Home: Greg Smith, PV and the NEC: Sean White) will give you all of the information needed to sit for the ESIP exam. This was a great course for people new to PV and Energy Storage. The break down of different technologies and visual presentation were great for the side by side comparisons and real world applications.

As a current PVIP, this is the hardest training i've done in Heatspring. There is a lot to take in, but the self paced and small digestible videos make it manageable. Sean does a great job explaining things and keeping some boring content interesting.

Sean's course is well paced and written in a way that even those with basic knowledge of PV and Energy Storage Systems will understand. That's a challenge in itself for such a complicated array of topics. The inclusion of Bill Brooks, who is a leading voice in the code writing panel for Renewable Energy systems is the cherry on top adding tremendous value to the course. It's like taking golf lessons and having Tiger Woods show up to give advice as well. It is a long course, so buckle up and be prepared to watch the course over a week and take notes. Personally I find Microsoft Loop excellent for test prep and note taking.

If you are looking to pass the ESIP exam, I highly recommend this class. The practice tests were full of challenging, applicable questions that covered the ESIP JTA very well.

I think anyone preparing for the ESIP exam should consider taking this course. The sections with Bill Brooks are extremely insightful about how/why the code is written the way it is. All of the code overviews and example/practice questions were helpful to me as well. Sean covered all of the JTA items, which I think will be important for the exam.

The energy storage associate boot camp was a great course for anyone looking to learn about an important technology - batteries…and more! The course covered a wide variety of topics in a well-organized and practical manner. I would recommend it to anyone serious about entering or continuing to improve in the field of sustainable energy.

This is a great beginner's course for those who want to enter into the renewables field!

I've liked Heatspring's prior courses, but this seemed like it was just put together real quick from content that was already out there. My expectations were to learn about batteries, yet there was so much solar content that I've already studied in this same platform.

Really enjoyed! Ive taken many classes, and more in the future im sure.

If you want a good mix of high-level information about energy storage systems, as well as a deep dive into what makes them tick, then this is the course for you! Would highly recommend for professionals who are in the installation/implementation space or even in the development space if you are just looking to learn more about energy storage. My brain hurts after this course, but in a good way!
