Learning objectives
- Identify electrical hazards, implement proper safety procedures, select appropriate personal protective equipment, and execute safe work practices to prevent electrical shock and arc flash incidents in accordance with NFPA 70E standards.
- Safely install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain photovoltaic solar systems while adhering to electrical codes, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs for utility-scale solar projects, integrate multiple safety standards and training requirements, and manage construction and operational safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thermal imaging inspections of photovoltaic systems, accurately interpret thermal data to identify equipment failures and performance issues, and differentiate between genuine thermal anomalies and environmental false positives.
